It’s also far more likely (in my option) that an Aquantia driver would be the source of the problem…rather than the Linux kernel implementation of a bond interface.

Did you read the link I shared? The software “stacking” network interface drivers do interact with the various offload/acceleration strategies.

Easy enough to confirm either way.
