Hi, I have used TrueNas Core for many years with Home share feature in SMB, recently I finally decided to upgrade to Scale. Upgrade went mostly smoothly and I neded up on 25.04.2.6.
I have TN connected to Active directory server for user Authentication but there are also few users that were either not yet migrated to AD or are just for some reasons excluded.
One thing that is either missing or I didn’t notice in upgrade instructions is deprecation of Home Shares in TN Scale. Ok, That does not sound like big deal and I migrated to Private shares. One thing that I did not test is if local users (added through TN GUI) have acces to newly created share, I only tested few AD users and all of them were fine. Today I found out that non of the local users are able to acces the private share, folder gets created, It gets seamingly corect permission, correct UID:GID but user cannot acces the private share, windows just does nothing when you click on the folder and MAC OS shows permission error. I did try to add 777 permission to folder just to be shure but stil nothing.
Is there anything alse that hase to be set for this combination to work?
