Hi,
for a while now I am facing issues logging in to the server through either a web interface or ssh.
Web interface usually at first produces the error “Connecting to TrueNAS … Make sure the TrueNAS system is powered on and connected to the network”. After a minute or so, login screen usually appears…
Likewise, SSH connection sometimes returns a timeout, and other times responds with a password prompt.
After logging in, I didn’t notice any disconnects.
The other issue, that could be related is inability to connect to the update servers. It returns:
Unable to connect to url update-master: Automatic update check failed. Please check system network settings.
This URL is not available from the server.
The pings to the update server don’t respond.
The ping works fine from a different server on the same rack.
I ran a traceroute and it looks like it can’t reach the last hop.
Can’t post it here though, because I can’t post links.
Server has access to the internet.
dig, wget, curl and pings otherwise work without issues.
I successfully ran a manual update from 13.0-U6.1 to U6.4 and rebooted the server, but both issues persist.
