Suddenly lost access to SMB shares

Running Bazzite for my OS. In the morning I moved a couple pictures over to my TrueNAS SMB. Went to work, came back and all of a sudden i’m unable to access my SMB.

“Access denied.
Could not write to smb://user@address/folder”

Gone through all the settings I can see, and the user has full control. I’ve restarted both systems, and still unable to access. New users are unable to move files as well. II cannot copy, move, or transfer files, I am able to create and delete folders.

On a hunch I logged into my windows OS and I have complete access. Anyone know whats going on?

Also by @Kryss, kudos!

Edit: just noticed the source you posted was my topic on the forum. Im still getting used to this forum xD

Thank you, but credit shouldnt go to me. credit goes to a bazzite forum user gsstatton; who had this issue on aurora. I just wanted to share it here since another user and i had the same problem and it just so happen someone told me whats wrong.

It doesnt feel right getting a shout out for an issue I too had to ask for help in finding a solution.

Updated my reply on that post to show true credit.

But glad my post here can help others

I understand, and it’s okay, @gsstatton can get kudos too.

Spreading the word still answered several people’s questions about it in this forum and I think that deserves at least some credit.

Besides, my kudos are non-refundable, so I guess you’re stuck with it no matter what. :sunglasses:

Oh so from what I’m reading a patch is oncomming, and I can force the patch early if I really need it.

Well, thats good to know. Thanks for the update, I’ve been asking all over the internet and finally got an answer! Guess I’ll have to use filebrowser for now. ><
