Swap places with TrueNAS and a VM

Hello Everyone,
since I’m hardware limited with some VM stuff but I still want to keep TrueNAS Scale because of all the neat features and good Drive Management system,

I wonder if it would be no problem with not many limitations to swap places with my VM and TruenNAS.
So if I’m able to install a normal Ubuntu server as the Nativ OS and TrueNAS in a container but still with everything accessible as it also would be the native installed OS.
