System becomes unresponsive after update – possible storage or service issue

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with my TrueNAS system and would appreciate any guidance.

Problem:

After a recent update, the system intermittently becomes unresponsive. The web UI stops loading, and SSH access is either very slow or completely unavailable.

Details:

  • System was working fine before the update

  • Issue occurs randomly after some uptime

  • Restart temporarily fixes the problem

What I’ve Checked:

  • Basic network connectivity (seems fine)

  • No obvious hardware errors from initial checks

  • Storage pool appears online, but I’m not sure if there’s an underlying issue

Questions:

  • Could this be related to a service or plugin conflict?

  • How can I check logs to identify the root cause?

  • Any recommended troubleshooting steps for this type of issue?

From which version, to which version? Does the problem persist if you boot into the previous boot environment?

Anything of note from dmesg ?
