I’m new to TrueNAS but I can confirm that it runs perfectly fine on the WTR MAX. My setup is as follows:
AOOSTAR WTR MAX
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8845HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
OS - TrueNAS-SCALE-24.10.2.3
RAM - 2 x 32GB DDR5 5600 SODIMM ECC Memory
HDD - 2 x PNY CS3030 250GB SSD (Boot)
HDD - 3 x WD_BLACK SN850X 1000GB (SSD pool)
HDD - 6 x WDC_WD40EFRX-68N32N0 (HDD pool)
I didn’t install TrueNAS directly however as I used the HexOS image disk. It’s basically a more user friendly wrapper to TrueNAS. After using it for over a month, most of what I’ve done ended up in the TrueNAS UI itself. If you want to read a detailed log of my journey I have this post on the HexOS forums:
