The download attempt resulted in “We can’t connect to the server at download.sys.truenas.net.” through my internet provider in the USA. VPN had to come to the rescue.
It looks like the PGP certificate for validation expired 13 September 2025.
False alarm on the download issue. This was a problem with my pi-hole dns server.
Welcome!.
It’s best to start another thread in the TrueNAS General channel and provide your hardware and config information… its likely to be a configuration issue and not spcific to these versions.
Feel free to post a link to your thread in this channel…
Just wanted to report back, another perfect update here - first from 24.10.2.2 to 24.10.2.4 and then to 25.04.2.4. Flawless update, no drama, just how we like it, with all apps in place.
Thank you for all the hard work.

And sorry for spamming this thread, carry on ![]()
FYI for everyone… this was for a pool created and mounted on FreeBSD 14.x previously. Not a normal TrueNAS pool. I don’t think there is any TrueNAS bug.
From what I can see this 25.04.2.4 version is extremely solid. Very few bug reports and rapid uptake with no major issues.
There are no current plans for updates to 25.04 and we expect any significant issues will be resolved in 25.10 (goldeye) which will reach RC.1 status later in September.
25.10.04.2 (aka F.2.4) is already the most widely used TrueNAS version (in only 11 days). I think that is a record.
Unless someone can point out a significant issue, we’ll be reviewing it for promotion on the software status page. As always, thanks for the bug reports and helping us work through the issues.
Agreed! From what I know now, the problem was caused by the old mountpoint on that pool. The link I shared before now contains some info on what I found out and a walkthrough of how I fixed it.
