Nothing but a scrub can bring a C3758 at 100% on all cores.
I don’t remember about 2024, but C3758 is still very attractive in 2026.

Op was asking for platform to run TrueNas AND couple of VMs and couple of docker containers. way outside of C3758 comfort zone, some lightweight docker would be fine but VM’s would be real stretch, doable but not optimal platform for it.
@Mark_the_Red has showed us one option for power efficient computing - and the various tiers of Ryzen G and GE chips allow the end user to tailor the CPU brawn to the use case.
For that reason alone, it is likely a superior approach to embedded systems where the whole motherboard has to be chucked if a need cannot be accommodated by the CPU.
With the benefit of hindsight, I should have selected the -2c- version of my current motherboard. It would have been better suited to the file server mission with a higher clock speed than the D-1537.
But, I thought I’d be able to run a windows VM and/or Zoneminder, neither of which worked well.
For any new system, I’d likely go with a bare motherboard and add a HBA and NIC, along with a removable CPU to allow me to customize the board to my needs rather than being locked into a particular motherboard for all three.
Whether that’s Ryzen or Intel based isn’t the question. It’s more a matter of what works for the use case and is flexible enough to accommodate changes as the use case may wander in the future.
