TrueNAS not showing up on Network Discovery on Windows 11

I have my NetBIOS enabled and my server is bound to 192.168.0.115 as it is only for streaming home movies. I don’t know what I am doing wrong as putting in the ip in file explorer works fine and a few weeks ago TRUENAS was showing up on here. Help me.

Is your WORKGROUP on the windows and TrueNAS the same. Do you have anything that would block mDNS from working on your network?

In your network settings what is checked here? I have all 3 checked at this point which make the TrueNAS system show up in Windows 11 for me. I should not need NetBIOS-NS but windows would not see the system without it.

NetBIOS-NS
mDNS
WS-Discovery

Sry for the late reply. I do have my server and pc on the same workgroup. I don’t think there is anything on my network that could block mDNS and I do have all three boxes checked. Still won’t appear. As I mentioned it used to and one day it vanished.

What have you tried to fix so far? Rebooted everything?

Do you need network discovery? You can map a network drive to a share also.

I was trying to use musicbee for my audio player in order to do dat i have to make use of network discovery. How to map network drive to a share?

Windows 11. In your Explorer, right click on This PC and then select Map Network Drive. You put in the location and chose a drive letter.
