Troubles with Austrian Time change 3 Systems Crashed on Sunday! one 25.04.2.1 monitored by CheckMk and 2 25.04.2.4

We have a reported issue from a few systems configured with 2FA that were inaccessible for one hour following the time change, until the duplicated hour was passed, but I haven’t seen any other reports of full system crashes. I’m not familiar with CheckMk, but assuming we’re definitely dealing with a full crash and reboot here rather than just an hour window without reporting, you’re probably going to need to provide more details before anyone can try to help narrowing down the cause.

  1. was off

  2. was not reachable by SSH; on the console there were messages like out of memory — nfs seems to work very slow, smb not reachable remote exsi server (NFS) running, docker container not reachable - only a hard reset helps

  3. had to be reset by the customer all service are down

on 1 + 3 it could be a problem with the timing and a backup job (zfs send/), the backup NAS was not turned off by the backupscipt so ist was still running
