TrueNAS SCALE freezes completely when a VM is active – all containers and WebUI become unresponsive (Intel Core i5-14500)

System setup
• Intel Core i5-14500 (Raptor Lake, 6P + 8E cores)
• Using both VMs and Apps
• No GPU or PCIe passthrough configured

Issue description
Whenever a virtual machine is running or under load, the entire TrueNAS system freezes after some time.
• WebUI, SSH, and all containers become unresponsive.
• Only a hard reboot restores operation.
• When no VM is running, the system remains completely stable.

Troubleshooting already done
• Disabled VT-d / IOMMU → no improvement

Has anyone else experienced full system freezes on TrueNAS SCALE with Intel Raptor Lake CPUs (e.g., Core i5-14500) when running virtual machines?
Are there any known recommended workarounds?

How are you connecting your boot drive and what version are you using??

I had a very similar issue on Goldeye (25.10) so I went back to Fangtooth (25.04)

You need to post the complete specs of your system. Nobody can offer useful advice or suggestions knowing the details of your system and the software you are running.

Good luck.
