I have a UPS in umy server room that is connected to a UPS nut server running on a Raspberry PI. I have configured my Truenas server to get a feed from it as a slave node. The problem is i perodicly have to reboot the PI and when I do it ususally takes about a minute to come back. My Truenas server looses connection and throws an alert. I have tried to set the timeouts on the service to give it time to recover but to no avail. I have set both the No Communication Warning Time and the Host Sync time to something like 120 seconds and it still throws an alert. Shouldn’t this elimated the alerts? Is this a bug?
Would it be better to have TrueNAS as the NUT master, and the Pi as a NUT slave?
Not a bad idea…I hadn’t thought of that (Duhhhh) because I already had the NUT infrastructure running. That is exactly what I am going to do. Thanks.
