i’m currently trying to use hardware acceleration in emby. unfortunately i’m not able to get it to work. it is possible and works in another software imich. that’s why i can’t figure out how to fix it. in my vm i only get the error: - hardware_detection.txt: “Message”: “Failed to initialize VA /dev/dri/renderD128. Error -1”
At the bottom there is the section ‘Resources Configuration’. Although ‘GPU Configuration’ is displayed there, but there is nothing more to interact with. only this text.
I have already activated GPU support in the advanced settings.
i would now like to install emby via the apps and see if it works there. unfortunately my GPU (i only have that. the processor has no GPU) is not listed when creating the container. does anyone have an idea what i need to do?
My system:
Emby runs currently with docker in a VM in Truenas.
Truenas Scale Version: ElectricEel 24.10
Emby version: 4.8.10.0
Portainer version: 2.21.5
VM OS: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 1060
CPU without GPU
