Forums have changed since last time I was here… I’ve installed Dragonfish RC fresh (not an upgrade). I’m currently running 38 containers. Now that I have everything set up how I’d like it, the TrueNAS GUI seems to become unusually slow. Logging into the GUI takes a minute or two of spinning before …

i also noticed some weird slowdowns in sign in and the truenas UI. it’s random. sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. no idea why but i did note the similarities as josh. also is a new fresh install. Though i did upgrade to the recent versopm somce RC1.

Things have improved massively since the release of Dragonfish for me. I got some slowdowns while rsyncing my music library, but at least I didn’t need to restart middleward.

I just upgraded to Dragonfish and I have the same issue. I also am getting Failed to check for alert Quota: Failed connection handshake Alerts on top of it

Nah, you just likely aren’t in the /ui/apps page. That is where most the high cpu usage happens. I think they are polling k3s metrics every second on that page, which is causing some of the cpu spikage. Regardless, it’s been confirmed in my ticket above and looks to be targeted to fixed in upcoming …

I am also experiencing the same thing. Freshly installed dragonfish 24 release; no apps running, basically everything on default other than encrypted pool and forced client / server smb encryption. I am not sure it’s the same, but for my case, I have very LOW cpu usage(reserved 32cores), 1TB RAM, 12…

just an update. the latest dragonfish, i had done a fresh reinstall from scratch. been testing over a couple of days, didn’t notice that slow down since. so i’m thinking maybe this issue was more to do with the previous version  because i can go to truenas ui, browse around and it’s res…

i think the issue is within dragonfish itself. which everyone has been posting. Smaller ram will have issue appear faster. Currently the workaround appears to be limiting dragonfish’s ARC to be at 50% mimicking cobia’s default behavior.

I didn’t realize there was so much additional traffic on this thread. Some things I have noticed: accessing a lot of files definitely triggers this issue. In my case, rsync or file sharing. the asyncio wait process might have something to do with it? I see it at the top of top for CPU activity wh…

how did you do that  where in truenas ui do you set this?
