Which GPU would you suggest

Jellyfin doesn’t support CPU-only tone-mapping (HDR to non-HDR conversion). Pretty important feature these days.

Gold Eye ships the same 6.12 kernel so the situation with the xe driver is the same.

Transcoding with what? Plex or Jellyfin?
What kind of “ai learning” exactly? Can you specify what software you want to use and to train what exactly?
For actual training, a single GPU, even if a beefy one with lots of VRAM, may not be enough in some cases.

Both… i would say… and i dont see the gpu listed as qualified for truenas 25.10

Both what? What gpu? Can you be more specific?

Arc pro b60 i dont it listed as compatible gpu for version 25.10 and i need it for plex jellyfin immich and run deepseek🤷‍♂️

Farout edited the post about the B series (applied strike through Intel Arc pro B60) and posted a reply with another choice. Search the internet for cards recommended for Deepseek. Decide how much video ram you require or desire. If you see NVIDIA, make sure it is on the approved list and Intel, choose A series, no B series. For example no Intel B60.

Okay.. thanks much

I am looking for good prices on ebay for the mentions gpu that you listed

Thanks to some experimentation by @ChanningHe it appears that the B-series can work, but it absolutely requires the presence of Resizeable BAR (ReBAR) support on your motherboard. The xe driver depends way more on it, so even simple functionality like libva decodes were failng without it.

I also have not tested to see if the version of the driver shipping in 25.10 has support for the B50/B60 series cards.

@Farout FYI :slight_smile:

?? you respond to the wrong post?

I think you were just quoted while actually responding to the original poster.

So i have gotten an rtx 2060 8gb thank you all for your help even though i get on some of you all nerves i really sorry about that… and i will have more question going foward

Don’t forget to select CUDA for ML in immich app settings once you install the GPU (i.e the immich container settings in TrueNAS). There’s benefit to swapping to a more accurate CLIP model (within immich) if you use image search regularly.

ok thank you… i may need help again when setting up
