.zfs not allowing access to snapshot

Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone can assist me, i have Core
TrueNAS-13.0-U6.4 i have setup tasks to create auto snapshots, traditionally you would be able to browse to the .zfs folder and right click the folder in a windows environment and use previous versions. This no longer works and im not sure why.

I presume you have selected ‘Enable Shadow Copies’ from the ‘Sharing’ tab in TrueNAS?

When you right click a folder and select Previous Versions what do you get listed?

Thank you @Johnny_Fartpants for your reply.

I in fact have Shadow Copies enabled, additionally when i try select previous versions it is an empty menu.

Are you sure you have snapshots happening on that dataset?

Have you made any changes to auxiliary parameters in the SMB share config?

Hi there, i have not made any changes, its straight defaults. What is the group wheel used for if you know as i notice only when i have that group assigned to the front ACL page do i have access but still have the same snapshot errors. I am fairly sure i am creating a snapshot as when i delete soemthign the data goes to the snapshot i just cannot open it.
