25.04-RC.1 to 25.04.0 upgrade, Instances page error and no instances listed

I have 5 containers and 1 VM defined on RC.1. After update to current release, the instances page shows an Error (upper right) and all instances are missing. All is well after falling back to RC.1 boot env.

This is not at all the same issue, but I think it’s worth a mention since it indicates a Instances compatibility issue between the releases

EDIT: Duplicate of NAS-134485 but I can’t see the ticket…

May not help or be related, but post-upgrade from the RC to final, my box lost all the apps which were installed (and it tends to do this once in awhile). The trick is to hit the settings and change the pool where things are installed, ok it, then change it back. After this little reset it tends to realize your stuff was there all along and it was having a moment. Works for my box when it comes to apps anyway, may not work in this scenario but it shouldn’t hurt to try.

Thanks for the feedback, Ill keep it in mind to try in a few days. No rush on my end since RC1 works so well for me.

update. @afrosheen your suggestion ended up helping. when i opened up settings and just hit apply as is, it produced an error that shed some light

It turns out Nasplz is to blame after all. I had apparently been in incus command line creating snapshots and then manually deleting them with zfs destroy. smh. anyway, I cleaned up with incus snapshot delete vm snapname (actually had to do this on RC1 boot since incus wasn’t happy).

All is good so far.

Always good news. I’ll need that luck when I do some open heart surgery on my Core box.
