Building a 2nd server to transfer from Core to Scale

I recently upgraded my pfSense box from an X9SCM-F with E3-1220v2 to an X10SDV-4C-TLN2F. For that, i also bought a new Supermicro chassis with front I/O. That leaves me with the 510T-203B 1U chassis of the previous box which has 2 2.5" front hot swap slots.

My thinking is now to replace the aforementioned components with an X10SDV-something, or an X11-something (or X12 or X13) with at least 32GB RAM, 120GB NVMe as boot drive and 2 4Tb (or 8Tb) SSD’s in mirror for storage and use this setup to install Scale and slowly but steadily recreate Plex and Nextcloud in this environment with the aim to transition to Scale, in time.

You guys think this would do the trick compared to my current setup (in signature)?

Yes, but limited expansion…

I understand but the thing is, my current pool is about 5Tb and i still have 63% free space. I might select 8Tb SSD’s from the start. Currently looking what board fits my needs. I am currently looking at an X11SSH-TF with an E3-1275v6.
