I’m running TrueNAS 13.1 MASTER on a Dell Rack server. I’m not sure of the model but I can find it if necessary. It has 12 front drive bays. I run 2 different pools, 1 has 8 4TB drives, 1 has 4 2TB drives. For the last couple of weeks I have been getting the Device /dev/gptid/XXXXX_XX_XXXXX is causing slow I/O on pool XXX. I started trying to figure out what drive it was, then I realized that it is saying this about 3 of 4 drives, maybe more (I cleared some of the alerts). I run SMART tests of all drives twice a week, and they all pass their SMART tests. Also, I will get alert e-mails that one of the alerts has been cleared, then it will come back later. Could I really have this many drives failing all at once? It does seem to be running a little slower, but it’s not drastic. Thanks in advance.
