Drive frequency mismatch

Ok, My server JBOD setup has 30 drives. Server runs TrueNAS Goldeneye and has 1 boot SATA ssd, and 11 2TB SATA drives. With the boot and 7 drives on the motherboard, and 4 drives on a 4 port Type C SATA expander. The HBA is a IBM 4 C8935 LSI SAS9212-414e The JBOD has 18 3TB SAS drives connected to a HP 468405-002 8 port HBA. When I fire up I get a frequency mismatch and only 11 drives are shown. I tried several commands in the shell to no avail. The only drives shown are the server motherboard drives (7), and 4 JBOD drives. How do I repair the frequency mismatch? Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advance

You probably shouldn’t use the 4 port Type C SATA expander as it may cause problems later with ZFS and TrueNAS. We usually only recommend HBA for expanding disks.

Can you post images (screenshots) of your problem? It sounds like you are not seeing any disks attached to your two HBA cards and the JBOD.

Can you give us a complete, detailed listing on your hardware and a description of how you have it physically connected?

First I removed the Type C card. and rebooted. System failed to boot. Not sure why. I tried booting without the JBOD, no luck. Verified that the SSD is the booting device. Now trying to re-install goldeneye, and go from there.
Ok System specs. Asus P6T mobo with core I-7 920 processor. 1 boot ssd hard drive and 7 2TB western Digital hard drives. HBA is a IBM 46C8935 LSI sas9212-414e 6gig. Located in the upper most PCIE port. And a Nvidia graphics card. The JBOD has aPCIE riser card with an HP 468405-002 8 port 3gb card, with 19 3 TB SAS drives. Both units have a 1000w gold power supplies

You can try running the following to check the HBA firmware version and mode. I don’t know if it will pick up the HP HBA card. Post the results back using Preformatted Text (</>) or Ctrl+e
sudo sas2flash -list

So, I found the SSD failed causing Truenas to crash. I replaced the SSD and reinstalled Truenas. I ran the script you send and it confirmed the JBOD HBA was in IT mode and working. So concentrated on the server HBA. I swapped it out with the 5 other cards that I have. Each time the drive count dropped to 2, the boot drive and one from the JBOD. I put the origonal back in and I got 10 drives, and only the boot drive connected to the mobo. So all but 1 hard drive is not showing. I’m thinking I have a mobo or CPU issue. I’m gonna try different PCIE ports, otherwise I am going to get a different Mobo and HBA for the server.
