Drives are not showing.

I just upgraded all my drives and none of them are showing in the drive list nor when I do a gpart list command. The system is a dell t430 with a perc H730 no RAID setup.

Formulating an answer. :+1: Please stand by.

Bump. Been 20 days and I still cant get this to work. I am about to find a different product.

You need to post better details. Please list your hardware and software details. We really can’t guess what you have done up to this point, nor what you have tried. Have you read through the documentation for the version of TrueNAS you are running or trying to run? A quick search on ā€˜perc H730’ makes it seem like a RAID card and ZFS doesn’t work well with those and needs a plain HBA card. ZFS wants direct access to the drives. Some RAID cards can be hardware flashed to IT mode and then will work.

You provided no details on your system, the version of TrueNAS you are running, nothing at all for us to provide you help. What does ā€œupgraded all my drivesā€ mean? You replaced them, you upgraded the ZFS feature set, you hung them upside-down? Is the H730 programmed in IT mode? How much RAM do you have, Motherboard, ZFS pool configuration information if any, the boot drive. Lots of stuff. It will be another 20 days if you can’t provide the minimum required data. Oh yes, what was working before the upgrade?

While we don’t mind helping people out, they still need to provide a minimum amount of data so we can help them out. Also, if TrueNAS is not what you want, which is a system that you must maintain and cannot just set it up and let it run for years, then TrueNAS is not for you. People do set it up and let it run, no maintenance at all. One day they notice the data is not available and they ask us for help. All too often we find out that they had warnings but ignored them because the system was still working. Once it finally failed it was just too late, data is gone most of the time. And with TrueNAS you just need to set it up properly using the correct hardware and configuration for your use case. Then you need to watch over it and maintain it.

If this isn’t the kind of project you want to deal with, it is completely understood, many people realize it is a task and not a set and forget project.
