Every time I edit the credentials for a dataset used by a VM, it breaks

Hi. I’m doing something probably very silly. But I can’t figure out why when I change the credentials (user access) to the dataset that my VM uses, the OS can’t access the dataset anymore. This happens to both Windows and Linux VMs. To compound the issue, even when I strip ACLs and change it back to where it was before (at least as closely as I can), I can’t restore the previous configuration. Any ideas from the hive here on what I’m doing wrong?

I would agree with you that you are likely doing something wrong, but given the complete lack of any details I cannot make even the slightest diagnosis of what it might be.
