Failed SMART test on mirrored boot pool

Nope.

those 3 dots next to each disk are the only intractable thing on that screen. when i click the one by the errored drive, the only thing i can select is “Replace”. It pops up this dialogue where i’m supposed to select a replacement drive, but i can’t expand the dropdown to select anything.

Unfortunately I am not positive I can help this specific situation except to say what I’d do, and that doesn’t mean it is the best way, just the way I know to get the job done:

  1. Make a backup of my TrueNAS Config File.
  2. Power Down.
  3. Remove the failed drive.
  4. Install the new drive.
  5. Power on.
  6. After TrueNAS boots up, try to use the GUI again.
  7. If that fails, continue to step 8.
  8. With the system setup as it is, reinstall TrueNAS to the system, your boot drive(s).
  9. Restore the TrueNAS Configuration file.
  10. Problem solved :slight_smile:
