GPU use monitoring in Truenas Community

Hi All,
New to the board, and new to Truenas. I just got my server up and running a few days ago. However, I’m seeing performance issues with Plex when I compare it to how it ran on the same machine under Windows 10. I’m concerned that I’m not taking advantage of my GPU (NVIDA Geforce 1050ti). While it all looks set up properly to me, the response across my network and transcoding just does not seem to be as fast. I’m looking for a way to monitor GPU metrics but seems to have run into a wall. I guess there is nothing in Truenas that allows for this currently. I installed Prometheus, but after looking it over, I think it may be a little advanced for me (I’m not a coder). Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you

No idea for your specific issue - but be aware of the below:

Does Plex see the GPU as a specific device, under Transcoder?

Thanks for the heads up on the NVIDIA Support. Bummer!

the only tool to monitor gpu related metrics is nvidia-smi from shell.
Almost 2 years ago the iX UI Dev team posted first drafts for gpu related dashbord widgets but there haven’t been any news on this

Thanks, guys. Using Grok AI, it came up with the following procedure (URL below). Sadly, as my skills with command-line execution of tasks have diminished significantly since the days of DOS, I’m struggling to see if it actually works. I thought I’d share this and see if anyone else has had any luck.

Here is the URL:

Have not given up yet.

It’s not the destination, but the Journey.

Thanks NugentS! Found my GPU recognised
