Truenas Scale 25.04.2.6
I can not check for updates or clone the apps from github.
I can not ping or curl github.com:
ping github.com I get Name or service not known
curl github.com I get Could not resolve host: github.com
I have Under network Edit Global Configuration:
Inherit domain from DHCP
Nameserver1 192.168.12.1
IPv4 Default Gateway is empty
If I try to set the gateway to 192.168.12.1 it shows Gateway 192.168.12.1 is unreachable.
These are the same settings as my other machine on the same network and everything works fine there.
How can I fix this?
Are you using DHCP to get network setttings for TrueNAS or are you using manual settings? Have you rebooted TrueNAS?
Rebooted several times. I don’t know whether it’s DHCP or manual. The settings from the configuration are in the first post.
What else is needed?
I don’t have a 25.04 VM set up anymore. Can you try working through the online Documents and try to figure out your settings? You should be able to ping the IP address of your router and other computers on your network should be able to reach TrueNAS. Are you able to reach TrueNAS from the other computers? Is file sharing working?
Are you sure your router is at 192.168.12.1? How have you verified it?
Can you ping that IP from a client system? Can you ping it from the TrueNAS server?
Given that you have no gateway I will guess that your network port in use is set to static, not DHCP, as DHCP would typically result in the gateway being set automatically. Static is the preferred setting anyway, you may end up having less control with DHCP.
But I don’t like to guess. Can you please post a screenshot of your network screen?

Thanks everyone for the replies.
This may be an issue with T-Mobile. I’ll take the server into work and try from there and post again later.
