Hi, i freshly installed Plex (due to Truecharts gone offline).
Nothing special is configured. The configs i have:
data is on main pool
config on ssd
transcoder on memory
dedicated gtx to transcode
But i can’t add any libraries. When i go to the web portal it wont recognize it as a server.
What i tried until now:
logging out from ‘plex.tv ’
using claim token and also without
activating host network and also without
always trying from my own network, not plex.tv
I tried everything, still nothing. Maybe someone can guide me through…
Thanks <3
Try clearing the cookies on your browser? Maybe has something to do with your old Plex TrueCharts server?

I had the same problem and I only got it to work after using the same dataset for config, data, transcoder, etc.

I already cleared cache and cookies.

Try it…
For some obscure reason it would work only like this.
What happens if you go to your server by using this address?
SERVERIP:32400/web
Obviously you replace SERVERIP with whatever IP you server is set to.

Is your client on the same subnet as the host?

yes, i mean k8s has its own subnetwork.
I have a fresh install of Truenas. All i did so far is to import my pools. Thats it, no configuration changes.
Edit: isn’t the function ‘host network’ for exact this reason there? To bind the truenas ip to the service?
If you didn’t check the box “Host Network” for the app, try doing that.

Did u try adding your media folder under "additional storage " ?
Then I don’t see why it would still be using an internal kubernetes IP like you said it was.
If it’s not on the same subnet, it’s not going to work.

yes. No changes
@neofusion yes, i know. I mean, wtf. It should be so easy, i could have set ip up over a vm so easy and fast, but i installted TrueNas for a reason. Easy deployment

So the current situation:
When i install it without a claim token and enter the webservice over SERVERIP:32400/web i can set up the library. But i can’t claim the server after that…

So the PMS (log) is telling me ‘HTTP error requesting GET Sign In | Plex (6, Couldn’t resolve host name) (Could not resolve host: plex.tv )’
But why is that so?

SOLVED:
ok totaly my fault, but tbh i can’t remember that i touched it
In Truenas → Network i set up additional Domains. Removing it, claiming server works.
