When i press 4 and enter it asks for a password and the same thing happens after a reboot. I assume it says that because truenas scale is based on debian linux.

At this point, yes, thatâs what I recommend you do.
If your pools had been encrypted I would have pointed you in the direction of changing your Grub settings to enter single user mode, but itâs entirely possible that wouldnât work either due to how the TrueNAS has been setup.
Thanks for the info luckily reinstalling the os and re importing my pools shouldnât be a problem. Luckily my networking setup isnât complicated and setting up plex takes 2 seconds. Thanks everyone for the help.
