Hey everyone! just started with my first nas build and I’m trying to get it set up, however the video I was watching uses the Truenas web interface and the username and password i use is not working on the website. Anyone know how to reset this? I have used the Truenas 9 option menu to reset the admin password but that is still not working and I don’t know if it cause of the password or the username.
Not much to go on here.
Which version of TrueNAS?
Did you set up an admin account during install, choose to use the web interface to do it or skip it all together and just go with the root account?
Have you verified that the keyboard works as expected?

If you installed 24.10 they changed the admin username to truenas_admin, in all previous version I installed it was admin/pass set in install.

I will try that as soon as I have the nas up and going again. Chat gpt has lead me down a hole that has locked truenas from being able to load. I’m working around it right now.
I’m doing a fresh install to remove all the stuff that ive been trying to do and ill check out the new username when its finished. thanks

just finished a fresh install.
selected setup on web for this istallation. i have not been asked for a username or password yet. keyboard work without issue.
i did a fresh install and used the Web ui to set it up this time. i was promped to set my password upon entering the website. thank you all!!
a fresh install and selecting the web option fixed the problem. thanks for the help!
