webGUI is still not reachable. I also can’t insert anything into IPMI, the errors will just scroll by. Also a little bit confused that the error now seems to be dev sdc, which I highly doubt is the boot pool, but a drive of my data pool.
Personally I’d install TN onto a USB device and boot it up and see what’s going on. Try and import the data pool and see how things look. If it is indeed your boot drive you can then look at replacing it or even attempt a reinstall of the system on it and see how that goes.
If the system isn’t booting then it would suggest an issue with the boot drive be it hardware or not. By booting off a USB temporarily that allows you to confirm everything else is ok before then perhaps trying a reinstall on your boot drive. If that works and all is good continue and monitor. If that fails during or after then it’s fair to say the boot drive needs replacing.
So I tried to remove the pool drives, but the boot drive would still throw many errors.
Also, it turned out that sdc was actually the SATA dom boot drive and not like I thought a pool drive
Anyway, I installed an 870 EVO 2,5" I had laying around and reimported my config backup. Everything went well. There is just one thing that I am not quite sure of.
Since it is a TrueNAS Mini X+, should I not be allowed to get the Enterprise edition instead of the community edition? Not that I care that much, I am just curious.
If you want the Enterprise version, you would have to contact TrueNAS and find out how much the base support and Enterprise version would cost you. It’s usually tied to that.
