TrueNAS Scale 25.04 Web Interface Constantly Reloading

I recently upgraded from Core to Scale and am encountering several annoyances which weren’t encountered with Core, one of those is the web app constantly reloading the screen with “logging in…”. Most times the web interface is absolutely useless because of this. Any ideas? Why is Scale so buggy?

Have you tried clearing all the cookies for that page?

Or CTRL + F5 to clear the browser cache?

Thanks. The problem is solved; however, I’m not certain that it was due to a cache clear. I had to reboot because of an OS update. I haven’t learned yet whether a Mac OS reboot clears the cache in Safari. I wouldn’t have known exactly why, but that’s something I should have obviously tried first, clearing the cache. Is this because tokens from Core were still hanging around?

It started happening again. I cleared the cache in Safari, and that was of no use. Scale 25.04 is definitely a buggy release. It’s been so frustrating. Scale 25.04 should still be in beta.

Do developers ever even read these posts? Scale 25.04 is broken.

They do when they have time, perhaps you should post a bug report though.
The UI reloading as to be “absolutely useless” is not normal.

You can do so using the Feedback button (looks like a Smiley) at the top of the GUI inside TrueNAS.

You do realize you are the only one with the problem don’t you?

So if you don’t see other people writing about the same problem, then there is a chance that the issue is on your side.

I know one thing for certain. I was on Core for over five years until last week with no issues whatsoever. I did not start experiencing this issue until migrating to Scale 25.04.

For some reason, the constant reloading has seemed to have subsided. I have no idea why it was happening or why it has seemingly been fixed.

In several of my previous comments, I was a bit harsh on Scale 25.04. Most of that was due to several frustrations, not just the reloading issue, that I was having. I’ve been on Scale 25.04 now for almost two weeks and have since had time to traverse the learning curve in going from Core to Scale. I would like to say that I am now happy that I made the transition. I’ve now got everything working that I had working on Core. Thanks to the TrueNAS developers for offering a community edition and for your hard work on the project.
