My truenas has been continually upgrade from freenas to truenas core and then migrated to scale and upgraded to the current version.
the gui admin user was root, so i started cleaning up. I added an admin user, removed root. etc.
I notice that all users have SSH password enabled including root.
there are two groups ssh and _ssh with no members
I now can’t remove them as it says members of builtin group cannot be removed.
doesn’t allow setting nologin shell
It might be wise during these migrations, to test if there are incompatible settings before upgrading
how can i fix this now
this is great - throw in the session keeps dropping out every 30s in the middle of doing stuff
it seems like a real step backwards
