Thats just from ethernet, the only way I’m connected right now
I thought the default gateway (192.168.12.1) was my my routers IP I’m i wrong or did they finally block that too

Yes. Everything looks ok (to me).

Back on track, can you ping your router from the truenas shell with ping -c 10 192.168.12.1?

Or your PC with ping -c 10 192.168.12.159?

Said that was an invalid request so i took out the -c and its pinging but my computer cant ping it, maybe a restart on my computer? I’m going to go ahead and do that.
Also how do I end the never ending ping loop

Ctrl+C

So, is truenas able to ping your router? I’m asking because I didn’t get whether it was ping from truenas or from PC.

No need for that (at least yet).

Yes truenas can ping my router but my computer cant for some reason
My computer is ethernet too

Good.

Your computer can’t ping your router, right? Or your truenas can’t ping your computer?

:+1:

Truenas can ping but my computer can not ping. I got on another computer to and it connected no problem and it can ping the router on that one too. That computer is on wifi but its crappy

Okay. Try to open in browser http://192.168.12.157 on that wifi computer.

157 did not work dhcp changed it to 223 I went to HTTP://192.168.12.223 and I can connect to the web interface through there so now I just need to figure out whats up with my main PC not connecting. Thats was the main problem and now that its solved Thank you I was about ready to give and see if windows could connect to the internet the internet
I went and installed TrueNas Scale 22.02.4, When I installed 22.02 earlier it didn’t ask me if I want a fresh install and it did this time

Very nice! Great Success!!

However, changing from 157 to 223 is kinda strange. I thought 157 was a static IP. If it’s really DHCP, there is no (big) problem.

According to your ip a output, your truenas NIC didn’t have a default gateway specified. This means that your truenas won’t have internet access. However, if I were wrong and your NIC is actually set to DHCP, everything should be fine now.

Well, now it is time for a reboot :slightly_smiling_face:. At least I didn’t notice anything unusual in your ipconfig. But I’m not a network guy.

Not a network guy but gots a server lol
Might have been because of reinsalling one last time. Maybe I’ll just reinstall windows still cant connect
