Web interface could not be accessed - Fresh install

I’m coming across Web interface could not be accessed error message.

I have ethernet connected to the NAS, albeit through powerline, as connecting direct ethernet is difficult at the moment. I’ve read through some of the threads on here and gone through AI-Assisted help, but this process is turning out to be far more manual than everything I’d seen going into this.

The motherboard is a B760M DS3H AX DDR4. It’s paired with 16gb memory, and a 500GB crucial P3 NVMe SSD. I’m using the onbard NIC, the interface is showing up when I go into Configure Network interface, but I haven’t seen an IP address anywhere so far. The lights are all blinking on the Ethernet ports.

I read a potential solution on some posts was to buy a “supported” NIC, is this truly necessary?

I’m also relatively new to Linux and the command line, so if there is more detail that needs to be provided, please advise the steps/commands needed

If you didn’t configure ip address manually it should be obtained via DHCP. Search your router for the active DHCP leases. Perhaps you will see your truenas ip address there.

Thanks for the quick response. This was completely user error, I hadn’t plugged the other end of the powerline in.

Plugged in, came up, all working
