Drive Temperatures? No data?

@Captain_Morgan Hard drive temperature display abnormal issues require more detailed investigation.

AFAIK… it’s still in active investigation.

I don’ think its all systems, but I don’t know which one experience this?

There’s a new ticket being reviewed: NAS-136084
https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/browse/NAS-136084

The ticket does not exist or does not have public access rights.

Sorry everyone I haven’t been on to reply. My work days I’m non existent! Why did they close the first ticket?

It is a private ticket… just letting you know its still being worked.

The firts ticket seems to have been closed because there was a bug that fixed some of the problem… but not all of the problem.

A bit late but same problem here…

Same problem as well. Is there a way to +1 on a ticket/issue like in GitHub to show others are having the same problem too? A few weeks/months ago I also couldn’t see the drive temps under reporting but that is showing up now under 25.04.1. Thanks!

Purely anecdotal makeshift solution here but for some reason when exporting data to graphite the disk temps show up just 5 minutes delayed even when the web GUI isn’t showing anything for disk temps under any of the menus.

smart_log_smart → disktemp, I have a scuffed WIP cooling situation so I need to keep an eye on disk temps and this was the best workaround I found to at least get a (albeit delayed) idea of where temps are at. Figured I’d put it in this thread since this shows up on Google before any bug report thread.

Brand new fresh install of TrueNAS 25.04.1 on a SC846

Edit: It actually updates live, it just shows the time as being 5 minutes ago according to the timestamp in graphite, interesting little quirk but will let you monitor disk temps still if the web ui wont give it to you

Good news guys - you made the update list!

Has this been resolved? I upgraded my community truenas Core to Scale yesterday and now have only 4 of 17 drives showing temps in the reports and no data on the “health” tab.

Right from linked post above. Shows for upcoming 25.10

Reporting Disk Temp doesn’t load/show (Done) [SCALE-25.10-BETA.1]
Disk Temperatures on some systems are not displayed in reporting, Bugs are not publicly available as private information was uploaded directly on the tickets.

I’m still missing drive temperatures in 25.10.0.1 :-/

I’m on 25.04 (running as Proxmox VM with SATA adapter PCI passthrough):
