I have two drive trunas scale ( current version ) with mirrored two 4 tb drives.
I am wanting to add two more 4tb drive to this ( so a total of 8 - 4 tb drives ).
My understanding I can add them to the existing pool striped.
The GUI seems a little different than any documentation I can find online .
Below is some screen shots of what I believe I will need to do please let me know if this correct ?

Trying to add the two new drives as Resorces for the existing mirror .
So all 4 x 4TB are being used for my share.
With that information, would your suggestion work ?

At current, as shown in the screenshots, you’ve got the following:
1x MIRROR | 2 wide | 3.64TiB
This gives you a little under 3.64TiB usable capacity with redundancy against one disk failure.
Adding a second VDEV as described above will turn this into 2x MIRROR, giving you a little under 7.28 TiB total usable capacity, with redundancy against two disk failures (provided the two failed disks are not a part of the same VDEV, you will still have single disk redundancy for both VDEVs).
I’m pretty sure that’s what you’re aiming for, so yes.
Ah, I’ve actually missed & subsequently skipped over something else here, thanks for mentioning as I’d completely glazed over it.
@johnism - I think you’re misunderstanding the types of VDEVs.
To achieve your goal, you’re only trying to add a DATA VDEV, the rest can be skipped over.
Select a single, 2-Wide, MIRROR, in the data section (it’s the only one that isn’t marked as optional). Then Save And Go To Review.
Yeah, what he has looks correct to me. He has an existing mirror and he is creating a new mirror and adding it into the pool. Everything else is empty.
