I have been using Plex for a number of years and have tv shows and films added to it so I can watch them on another device. I have now added more video files to a newly created dataset in Scale ElectricEel-24.10.2.4 , but after I create the dataset I get a message telling to go to ACL page and create and ACL.So I select plex for user and group and allow everybody, but the plex app can’t see the new files, only the ones already added , when I try to add a new folder. Is it a permissions issue (again), or something else I am not seeing.
I can see the new dataset and files from a desktop computer, but plex can’t.
Ok, UPDATE:
I found by just entering the path of the new folder/dataset, Plex accepted it, and the new folder and files were added to Plex.
BUT, by doing the same in Jellyfin, it says that there was an error in the media path, and doesn’t add the new folder or files???
