Reset motherboard with running truenas scale

can i reset my supermicro motherboard with a running truenas scale?
Or do I have to disconnect/remove all disks and the nvme boot disk with truenas scale?

Everything is running fine but I played with the port settings so I can no longer get into me motherboard via ipmi.

Or is there any way to change the ports on me motherboard via truenas shell or truenas linux shell.

Gladly your help!

I’m not sure exactly what you did on your system. I would suggest making a backup of your configuration file in case you have to do a complete reinstall of the boot drive and reloading the configuration file.
I expect you can only mess with the ports through the bios / ipmi.

I changed several ports )-:
Which makes it impossible to open ipmi through the web address.
See picture one of the changes.

So you can’t connect to the IPMI web interface by using <IP-address>:465, like so:
192.168.0.10:465

Changing the IP with whatever your IPMI is assigned to?

Edit: If all else fails, you can do it from within TrueNAS using the included ipmitool, here’s a guide to do it:

You will likely need to prefix the ipmitool command with sudo or drop into a root shell with sudo -i before you run ipmitool.

Final note; I can’t think of any reason why you would want to set your web port to a standard port for mail (SMTP).

it was indeed a very stupid mistake to change it to 465
