There’s been a bit of talk about this on Reddit, and those that have bought are very happy with it (they use the laptop A2000 gpu) . They are legit purchases. I’ve read they use a modded Nvidia driver but my question is, would there be a way to have this running in 25.10?

I am curious about this as well. I have talked to chat about it and he recommends this over the RTX3060 for my use case but I trust that about as far as I can thow my car. I am getting ready to purchase a R730 Server and have the option of just adding a GTX 1080 ti 11 GB for 146.80 extra and wondered if it was worth the extra 100 for the above top mobile A2000 for plex transcoding.
Thats not supported any more out of the box with the 25.10, iirc, something to do with a newer driver from nvida needing certain hardware. Has been discussed here extensively on this forum.
I can confirm that A2000 Mobile will only work with 25.10+. I had to update.
As the kernel can detect the card correctly as A2000 Mobile. I don’t think the step of setting OpenRmEnableUnsupportedGpus to 1 or mocking device ID is needed. Please let me know if it’s not true.
I’m using this card for LLM stuff and nothing odd has been found.
