The SATADOM on my Mini XL+ failed. I removed the SATADOM and installed an M.2 device. After booting from a USB install media, I installed 13.3 onto the M.2 device. When enter bios setup I cannot select the M.2 device as the primary boot device.
Please assist me in figuring out how to make the M.2 device the boot drive. This should be supported. I have found documents that show how to install the M.2 into the Mini XL+ with the intent of making it a replacement for the satadom.
Hi and welcome to the forums.
Have you enabled UEFI boot from the bios?
After that select UEFI Hard Disk as your primary boot device.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have tried all three boot modes.
Legacy
Dual
UEFI
None of these modes allows me to select the M.2 NVME drive. As I write this, could it be possible that I must select the UEFI, reboot, then try to select my drive. This might be an order of operations issue. I will got try that and see if it works.
Can you confirm that UEFI is the correct boot mode when using M.2 NVME as your boot device in the Mini XL+?

Switching bios boot method to UEFI (not dual or legacy)
